WHY TURMERIC IS COMBINED WITH BLACK PEPPER
Turmeric, scientifically known as Curcuma longa, is a renowned herbal supplement extracted from the root of a flowering plant native to Southeast Asia.
The component of turmeric responsible for many of its benefits is a bioactive compound called curcumin.
However, curcumin has a low bioavailability, meaning our bodies have a hard time absorbing it on its own. That’s why our supplements are often formulated with black pepper extract, scientifically known as Piperine, which enhances curcumin absorption.
How to use

-
With or without food
Turmeric can be taken with food or on an empty stomach. However, the impact of food on supplement absorption is often unpredictable as different compounds within food can interact with the supplement in different ways.
